Farmhouse

Back to Yorkshire after the wet fortnight we had in 2007.

This time we stayed in a farmhouse at Cringles (photo right), on the high ground between Addingham and Silsden. We only had a week but the weather was much better and we avoided the rain that was around.

A week wasn't really long enough, and we are likely to return again.

We sat by the river for a while enjoying the sun and the tranquility.

The 'Strid' in the grounds of Bolton Abbey, a narrow channel that concentrates the river into a deep and powerful torrent. And the view downstream.

Kilnsey Park
Helen enjoyed some more bird feeding at Kilnsey Park. I also did a bit of trout fishing and we saw the captive red squirrels.
