Abbey Gardens - Bury St Edmunds
I worked at Bury St Edmunds prior to retiring in 2008 and most lunch times went for a walk that included Abbey Gardens.

Anglesey Abbey
Anglesey Abbey has become a bit of a favourite for us. We are members of the National Trust but there are not too many Trust sites in our area. Anglesey Abbey is, however, and we have visited it on a number of occasions.

Belton House
Belton House is again National Trust, a bit further afield in Lincolnshire. The house is well worth a visit and there are extensive grounds.
The house featured as 'Rosings' in the BBC adaptation of Pride & Prejudice.

Danson Park
When I worked in Bexleyheath in Kent I explored the locality and took some photos in Danson Park one cold winter’s day.

Durham
Helen was born in Durham and her parents still live there, so we frequently visit the city.

Ely
Ely is only 12 miles from Chatteris and is a fascinating town with a splendid Gothic cathedral.

Wicken Fen
This is another National Trust site that offers a splendid unspoilt fen to explore. A birdwatchers’ paradise.
